The Panasonic TX-P42U3B is part of Panasonic's latest range of Plasma Televisions building on the previous generation and is part of Panasonic's new HighLine range of televisions.
600Hz Sub-field is the process of dividing the standard 50 Hz signal into 12 sub-fields which analyse and layer up the scene to create superb motion images. Panasonic have developed a new technology to improve Plasma Display pictures by analysing the image displayed and converting it into data. This allows the U30B to display a scene for a shorter length of time than previous system that reduces common issues such as aftereffects when using Cinema Mode. Furthermore with a fast switching phosphors this allows the U30 Televisions to display a single frame image for the time required.
The Panasonic TX-P42U3B utilises Real Black Drive system that achieves next generation black reproduction. The unit renders images just the way the director intended, even if the scenes are difficult to achieve proper balance of light & dark.
This Plasma Television from Panasonic also features support for Freeview HD among normal Freeview broadcasts. Freeview HD allows you to enjoy BBC One HD, BBC HD, ITV1 HD & 4HD (more HD Channels available in the future) in high definition for free without the need for an external Freeview HD box or a satellite receiver.
Aside from the usual content formats of broadcast television and Blu-Ray, the Panasonic TX-P42U3B features an integrated VIERA Image Viewer. Using the VIERA Image Viera, you can connect a SD Memory Card to display recorded HD videos from your HD cameras and enjoy your favourite moments on your widescreen tv.
